Zusammenfassung:Process for positioning an anode set in a mercury cathode electrolysis cell, according to which the anode set is brought to a reference position relative to the mercury cathode, the anode set is provisionally moved away from the reference position, the corresponding change in the electrical resistance of the electrolyte layer separating the anode set from the cathode is measured and the position of the anode set is corrected when the measured change exceeds a threshold value.
