Zusammenfassung: | Polymer (I), in a solid aggregation state, produced by reacting at least one monomer (a), i.e. an unsaturated mono- or di-carboxylic acid, or analog; at least one monomer (b), i.e. an unsaturated ester or amide of a polymer (B) with one end blocked by a group that is not reactive under normal conditions and, at the other end, a hydroxy or amino group, optionally also an ethylenically unsaturated monomer (c). Polymer (I), in a solid aggregation state, produced by recating at least one monomer (a), i.e. an unsaturated mono- or di-carboxylic acid, or analog; at least one monomer (b), i.e. an unsaturated ester or amide of a polymer (B) with one end blocked by a group that is not reactive under normal conditions and, at the other end, a hydroxy or amino group, optionally also an ethylenically unsaturated monomer (c). (B) has formula X-(EO)x-(PO)y-(BuO)z-R (B) contains less than 20wt.% total PO and BuO groups; has molecular weight120 D to 20kD, especially 250 D to 10kD, and the proportion of (B) with molecular weight below 500 D is less than 50, especially 30, mole%. x, y and x : 0-2500, with total 3 or more; X : hydroxy or NHR'; R' : 1-20C alkyl, 7-20C alkaryl or, preferably, hydrogen; EO, PO and BuO : respectively ethylene, propylene and (iso)butylene residues . Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) method for preparing (I); and (2) solution prepared by dissolving (I) in water. |
