[Solving Means] In a carburetor 58 comprising a tube portion 86 formed so as to crow a main air passage 84, a throttle valve 87 for throttling the air quantity passing through the main air passage 84, the throttle valve 87 being movably contained in the tube portion 86, and a detection system 106 for detecting the opening of the throttle valve 87, the detection system 106 being mounted to a circumferential wall 105 of the tube portion 86 fronting on a vehicle body lateral side, a cover member 62 for covering at least the upper side and the vehicle body lateral side of the detection system 106 is attached to the detection system 106.
