Zusammenfassung:	The axial separator for a combine harvester has a guide trough (56) mounted below the rotor. This has a guide surface (70) on the side of the rotor which moves downwards and a second guide surface (72) on the side of the rotor which moves upwards. The surfaces connect beneath the shaft of the rotor and the trough is asymmetric, the first guide surface having a wider opening than the second. An Independent claim is included for a combine harvester fitted with the separator.
