DEVICE FOR MONITORING THE BEHAVIOUR OF TV VIEWER AUDIENCE

The device is used in monitoring posts distributed bysociodemographic characteristics. It registers video units and TVsets and the number of visitors thus determining the observedprogrammes in a better way with greater reliability. The deviceincludes two microcontrollers (MCU1 & MCU2), each duly connectedto a permanent (EPPROM) and operative (RAM) memory, and (MCU1)being also connected to an analogue-digital converter (ADC),serial interface (RS232) and modem (MODEM). The device alsocontains a presence sensor (PS) and remote control receiver (IR).(MCU2) is connected to a display across an interface. (MCU1) haselectrically erasable memory (EEPROM) and serial peripheralinterface (SPI) and is connected across control logic (MCU LOGIC)to memory (EPROM, RAM), real time clock (RTC) and (ADC) which isconnected to the input buffer attenuators (ATTENUATOR BUFFER &ATTENUATOR BUFFER2) across an analogue multiplexor (AMUX). (MCU1)is connected to the remote control receiver (IR), to the presencesensor (PS), across input-output logic (IO LOGIC) to digital input(IN1...IN16) and outputs (OUT1...OUT8), as well as to (MCU2)across serial peripheral interface (SPI). (MCU2) is also connectedto (EPROM) and indication (INDICATION) by the logic indicator (IndLOGIC). The real-time clock (RTC) and operative memory (RAM) areconnected to a storage battery.
