Zusammenfassung: | The method and apparatus find application in the pharmaceutical chemistry. They help intensify the process, which is an environmentally sound one, and increase the yield and purity of the final product. The method involves carrying out intensive circulation of sodium hydrogencarbonate haloderivative in an aqueous solution in the catode space of the electrolyser at the rate of 0.5-2 m/sec and catode current density of 1.5-10 A/dm . A sulphuric acid solution is made to circulate in the anode space as anolyte. The apparatus represents an electrolyser consisting of more than two ring- or rectangular-shaped frames, placed next to one another, each separated from the adjacent one by a porous membrane, all of them tightly compressed in a filter-press-like manner. A monopolar electrode occupies the catode space consisting of two or more parallel plates arranged in two or more rows perpendicularly to the membrane and attached to the frame by means of two or more strips, one of which is current-carrying. There are nozzles placed at top and bottom of each frame. |
