Zusammenfassung:The method is applicable in the metallurgical and machine manufacturing industries for preparation of oxygen-free copper, regardless of the content of other impurities. The process takes place within low vacuum, which allows to efficiently remove the oxygen from the treated copper. The copper melting and refining is implemented in glow discharge conditions at a pressure of 1-10 millibars in ammonia atmosphere, the voltage being 450-700 V and the temperature - between 1,090 and 1,150 degrees C.
