Zusammenfassung: | The catalyst is applied in the treatment of waste industrial gases and exhaust gases from internal combustion engines. It displays high catalytic activity at relatively low operating temperatures and is efficient in cleansing gases by removing both nitric oxides and carbon monoxide. It comprises a carrier-substrate made of scrapped cracking catalyst, which contains wt. percent: zeolite, type "Y" 5-40, binding substance 55-90 and rare earth elements 0.5-3.5. On the carrier-substrate are deposited 4-6 wt. percent copper and cobalt with respect to the total mass of the catalyst at a copper/cobalt ratio ranging between 1/1 - 1/10. The binding substance in the carrier-substrate is a lamellar silicate, aluminium oxide, silicon oxide or their mixture. |
