Zusammenfassung:The compound, prepared by this method, is familiar as tamoxifen hydrochloride and is applicable in medicine. The method is easily implemented in industrial conditions for preparation of a product of high purity and yield. Following the method,1-/4-(2-dimethylaminoethoxy)phenyl/-1,2-diphenyl-1-butene is heated in a medium of hydrochloric acid at a temperature between 50 and 55 degrees C for 5 to 9 hours. The raw product is separated from the reaction mixture after adding water and filtration, followed by recrystallisation from methylisobutylketone and without preliminary drying.
