The automat is used in the tool industry. It has a simplified design including short kinematic chains for performing the motions needed for the backing-off, which leads to increased precision. The automat includes a body (1) with a moveable grinding head (4) fitted to it in rolling rails and a mechanism cinematically connected to the head for its driving, by a high-moment motor (2). In front of the grinding head (4) is situated a double-position indexing table, towards which in rolling rails is fitted a backing-off box (10) with a spindle (8) in it carrying a holdfast (7) and a tie-bar (12), which is placed in the hollow piston (17) of a cylinder (16) for tightening the blank. The cylinder is statically fitted on the body (1). In the hole of the tie-bar (12) is placed the piston rod (13) of a cylinder (19) for the removal of the finished drill. On the backing-off box (10) is mounted a hydraulic motor (52), which drives a shaft (43), on the lower end of which is mounted a single-profile cam (43), which contacts a rod (38) of a scaling mechanism. On the upper end of the shaft (44) is statically fitted a multi-rpm cluth (48), which connects a slide (51) with a spring (50) around it.
