Zusammenfassung: | The method is used for obtaining hydrated cellulose materials for the manufacture of fibres and membranes for use as biological substance carriers. The obtained hydrated cellulose membranes and fibres feature improved structural, physicomechanical characteristics. The method involves adding a suitable vinyl monomer to the rayon solution while the cellulose xanthogenate is dissolving. The alkaline aqueous rayon solution, prepared by dissolving sodium cellulose xanthogenate in sodium hydroxide (80 g/l) after adding 0.5-60 percent of sodium vinylsulfonate to the latter to stabilize the xanthogenate groups is nozzle-formed in a settling bath with the following indicative composition, in percentage: sulphuric acid 12-17 and sodium sulphate 14-20. This is followed by treatment with 0.5-5 percent solution of sulphuric acid, rinsing with water at 30-50 degrees C and treatment with a plasticiser, 10-20 percent aqueous solution of glycerol. |
