Zusammenfassung: | Both the compound and the method find application in obtaining polycapromamide (nylon 6) with an improved flame resistance used in the manufacture of textile fibers, mechanical parts, etc. The caprolactam is characterized by N-C-P bonds with high resistance to hydrolysis and represents bis(hydroxymethyl)-N-ε-caprolactamethylphosphine oxide with the following formula:The method involves converting the phosphonic chloride to tris (hydroxymethyl) phosphine prior to condensing the tetracis (hydroxymethyl) phosphonic chloride with ε-caprolactam. The reaction comprises the following steps: cold treatment of an aqueous solution of tetracis (hydroxymethyl) phosphonic chloride with an aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide; treatment of the obtained tris(hydroxymethyl) phosphine with an alcohol solution of ε:-caprolactam and heating between 60-90 degrees C; finally oxidation by air purging of the obtained phosphine to form the respective phosphine oxide in an alcohol solution. |
