Zusammenfassung: | This method is intended for use in the biotechnology and food industries. It is a highly effective method, which makes it possible to control the thickness of bio-film thickness and maintain it within optimal, prescribed limits for a given bioprocess. Biological purification is performed using a three-phase pseudo boiling layer of gas-liquid-solid phase in a cone shaped bio-reactor at gas- and liquid- phase rates of up to 0.06 m/sec and of up to 0.08 m/sec respectively, measured against the largest surface section of the cone bed of the bio-reactor. A three-phase fountaining layer is created in the bioreactor, while in its cone bed a dense pulsating pseudo-boiling three-phase layer is formed. As the solid particles pass through these layers, in correlation to the increased biomass on the surface of the particles, the bio-film is regulated and its average thickness is maintained constant. |
