WATER DEMOLISHER

The water demolisher is used for mechanical distancedemolishing by water jet firing of blast explosives included inself-prepared explosive devices camouflaged in casings ofnonmetallic objects of medium hardness. The demolisher consists ofa stand (1) on which a tube (4) is mounted by means of screw (3)in a clamp (2) having a breech (5) in one of its ends and ajettison (6) with a stopper (7) on its other end. A laser sight(8) is fitted on the tube (4). Stand (1) is fitted on pivot feet(9). Adjusting screws (10) enable the horizontal and verticalaiming of platform (11) on which clamp (2) is fixed. A piston (12)and gun-powder carge (13) are housed in the tube cavity. Thevolume of the tube cavity (4) between stopper (4) and piston (12)is filled with water. Jettison (6) is made in the form of atruncated cone having surrounding wall angle of inclination of3-5°. The gun-powder charge (13) consists of two caps betweenwhich there is a stopper made of felt, gun-powder, cartridgeshell, bottom and electric igniter being at a 5-mm distance fromthe surface gun-powder layer on the side of one of the caps.
