MEMBRANE DIFFUSER

The diffuser is used in the biological (aerator) waste watertreatment. It ensures optimum oxygen quantity for the developmentof the microorganism. The diffuser is reliable in operation andhas longer operational life. It consists of an elastic membrane(1) which is in the form of a hollow sphere with thickerperipheral part (2), its inner surface (4) forming a ring-likenotch (5). In the membrane (1) middle part (7) a pressing flap (8)is machined which, in its upper part, takes the form of asmall-height cylinder protruding above it, and in its lowersurface (10) it takes the form of a truncated cone. Numerous smallslits (11) are machined in the intermediate part (3) fitted alongan H-shaped Archimedean spiral in cross section plane. Thering-like notch (5) houses a supporting disc (12) made of plasticin the form a section of a hollow sphere having smooth upper (15)and ribbed lower (16) surface. In the middle part (21) of thesupporting disc (12) a hollow conical body (22) is machinedcontaining a central conical hole (23). A union (24) is machinedconcentrically to the gollow body (22), on the inner surface.
