Zusammenfassung:1526272 Preparation of organic hydrazines HOECHST AG 22 Aug 1975 [22 Aug 1974] 34925/75 Heading C2C A process for the manufacture of an organic hydrazine wherein chloramine or a mono- or di-substituted choramine is brought into contact with a liquid comprising a primary or secondary amine, said liquid being vigorously agitated or in droplet form. The following compounds are prepared in the examples: phenylhydrazine; o-tolylphenylhydrazine; and o-methoxyphenylhydrazine. In Example 2, o-tolylphenyl hydrazine is reacted with acetoacetic acid methyl ester to produce 1-o-tolyl-3-methylpyrazol-5-one.
