GRIPPING DEVICE FOR DRILLING TOOLS

The device is designed for gripping tools to hand-operated drilling machines, used in mechanical engineering, civil engineering and in the household. It serves for quick fitting and removing of the tool using only one hand, guaranteeing its reliable fixing during operation. Its design is greatly simplified. It includes a hollow spindle (1) engaged by a safety jacket (2), fixed at front end position by a helical spring (3). In the middle part of the spindle (1), longitudinal grooves (4) are machined in which fixing rolls (5) are fitted, which are in contact with a locking ring (6), the front surface (7) of which is in contact with fixing semi-rings (8). They are resting on a profile supporting washer (9) which is in contact to one of the ends of the helical spring (3). Its other end is resting in a thrust bushing (10) on which a groove is machines having a sealing ring (11) fitted in it. On the inner side of the fixing semi-rings (8) inner teeth are radially machined, which, in their base, have an inclination of about 45 degrees. The fixing rolls (5) are engaged by an elastic ring (13), guaranteeing their radial shifting towards the longitudinal grooves (4). 3 claims, 4 figures
