Endoscopic unit, comprises an optic system which is at the insertion end of a fluid supply tube which also carries an inflatable balloon enclosing the optic system. Pref. a second balloon, spaced from the tube end and the first balloon, is expandable, e.g. independently, to seal with the inside of a lumen, e.g. blood vessel. - Specifically, the first balloon is rubber, copolymer of vinyl chloride and vinylidene chloride, polyurethane, polyethylene, polyethylene terephthalate, or their composites.
