Zusammenfassung:Isoindolines of formula (I) are new. In (I) R' is 3-4C alkyl. The n-butyl ester is specifically claimed. (I) are prepd. by redn. of cpd. of formula (II) or by esterification of isoindolinylphenylpropionic acids. Testers are analgesic and antiinflammatory agents, esp. useful for topical use. In the U.V. erythema test in guinea-pigs the cpds. are about 9 times as active as indomethacin.
