Nouveaux steroïdes

The invention comprises injectable pharmaceutical compositions comprising 6a -methyl-17a - hydroxy - progesterone - 17 - acetate, orally administrable compositions comprising the steroid, a sedative and, optionally, a diuretic, and the steroid and an estrogenic substance and veterinary compositions comprising the steroid and a carrier and, optionally, other therapeutic ingredients. Specified additional therapeutic substances are estrone, estradiol, estriol, ethinyl estradiol, estradiol cyclopentylpropionate and diethylstilbestrol (estrogenic substances); acetyl salicylic acid, N-acetyl-p-aminophenol, salicylamide and phencetin (analgesics); phenobarbitol, carbromal, reserpine and ectyluren (sedatives); ethoxzolamide, hydrochlorthiazide and acetazolamide (diuretics); mepazine, perphenazine and oxanamide (tranquiligus) and corisprodol, chlorzoxazone and phenaglycodol (muscle relaxants). The compositions may be in conventional forms e.g. tablets, capsules, pills, elixirs, suspensions, syrups, mixes with and pre-mixes for addition to animal and bird feed stuffs and may comprise conventional diluents, carriers and excipients.
