Zusammenfassung: | 913,328. Joining metal sheets. ALUMINIUM A.G. MENZIKEN. Nov. 4, 1959 [Nov. 4, 1958], No. 37453/59. Class 20 (2). [Also in Groups XXI and XXXII] A metal strip of aluminium or synthetic resin for constructing walls comprises a flat or curved central part 1 having on opposite edges outwardly directed channels with walls 2, 3, 21, 31 having engaging members adapted to fit co-operating members on other like strips to form a closed rib along the joint. The engaging members comprise grooves 5 inside flanges 2, 3 and ribs 7 outside flanges 21, 31 and the flange 21 is set toward the flange 31 and away from the plane of the part 1 so that the flanges 21, 31 fit inside the flanges 2, 3. The flanges are engaged longitudinally or transversely of the strip and a safety bar may then be inserted between the flanges 21, 31 to prevent disengagement. The edges of a wall formed by these strips may be closed by channel members. In Fig. 3 in engaged position the flanges of engaging channels alternate and ribs 11 prevent lateral movement. |
