Zusammenfassung:	A carpet, a method of making a carpet and plant therefore is described whereby the carpet has a carpet pile and a coated back felt layer, e.g. non-woven such as needle felt back side. The carpet is mainly a textile fibrous product that can take up and retain water in interstitial spaces between fibres which are small enough that the water is retained by surface tension effects but is open enough to allow evaporation or vacuum cleaner removal. A semi-finished product including carpet pile made by tufting, weaving, bonding, felting, needling, punching or other textile manufacturing method known in the art is laminated to a felt layer for forming the felt back side. The felt layer is a coated felt layer. The felt layer can be a needle felt.
