Zusammenfassung:	Pellets of vanadium contg. ore are prepared from finely milled ore and an alkali metal salt solution and are heated carefully. The pellets e.g. from a granulating plate, are warmed up e.g. to 600-900 degrees C in a heat exchanger with a travelling grate. The degree of vanadium extraction from the ore by leaching is improved and the pellets tend not to break up during leaching.
