Zusammenfassung:	1453779 Polymerisation apparatus HOECHST AG 13 Dec 1974 [14 Dec 1973] 54062/ 74 Addition to 1444789 Heading B1X [Also in Division C3] An apparatus for the bulk polymerisation of trioxan comprises (a) spray nozzles for feeding a molten mixture of monomer and catalyst to (b) a rotating roller 3 cooled by coolant liquid 2 to produce a solid product which is removed by scraper 4 to fall into (c) a heated screw conveyor 5 in which the mixture polymerizes in the solid state. The apparatus is housed in a heated casing 6. The product from 5 may be led to a double-screw extruder for completing the polymerization.
