Zusammenfassung:	1491509 Antibiotics SANDOZ Ltd 2 Dec 1974 [6 Dec 1973 21 Oct 1974] 52013/74 Heading C3H A process for the production of the compound S7481/F-1 of Formula I the compound S7481/F-2 of Formula II or S748/F-1 combined with S748/F-2 comprises cultivating a suitable strain of the fungus species, Tolypocladium inflatum Gams or Cylindrocarpon lucidum Booth in contact with a nutrient medium and isolating the compound(s). Compound S7481/F-1 has the following characteristics: (a) when in amorphous form has a melting point of 137-140 C. (decomp.), (b) [α] D 20 = -236(CHCl 3 ; C=0À5), (c) J.R.(CH 2 Cl 2 ), see Fig. 2 (not shown), and (d) ultra violet spectrum (CH 3 OH; c=1À063 g./l., d=0À01 cm.) as in Fig. 1 (not shown) and compound S7481/ F-2 has the following charateristics: (a) when in amorphous form a melting point of 127- 130 C. (decomp.), (b) J.R.(CH 2 Cl 2 ) see Fig. 5 (not shown) and (c) ultra violet spectrum (CH 2 OH; c=1À062 g./l.; d=0À01 cm.) see Fig. 4 (not shown). Suitable fungus strains are Tolypocladium inflatum NRRL 8044 and Cylindrocarpon lucidum NRRL 5760. The compounds may be admixed with a suitable carrier or diluent to form a pharmaceutical composition.
