Zusammenfassung:	A knife (1) includes a blade (2) made of stainless steel and a hollow handle (4) made of stainless steel. The hollow handle (4) is comprised of right and left handle halves which are butt-joined to each other at their joining faces. The handle halves define therebetween a hollow portion which is filled with a filler, including river sand, for adjustment of overall weight balance of the knife. The blade and the handle are butt-joined into one piece at their confronting end edges.
