Zusammenfassung: | Iron oxide pigment contains a specified amount of iron and has heat stability sufficient for coloring plastic films. Iron oxide pigment contains ≥ 58 wt.% iron and has a Silking index of ≤ 5. Color values at pigment volume concentrations of 10% in the test lacquer, are brightness (L asterisk ) of 54-65 CIELAB units, saturation (C asterisk ) of 38-65 CIELAB units and has red component (a asterisk ) of 8-15 CIELAB units, a yellow component (b asterisk ) of 37-55 CIELAB units and heat resistance for at least 5 minutes of ≥ 220 degrees C in polyethylene An Independent claim is also included for the preparation of a pigment, in which iron is dissolved by oxidizing metallic iron with nitrobenzene in an acid medium in presence of compounds of group III and IV. |
