Zusammenfassung:	In the inventive procedure for implementing event-based billing in conjunction with services provided for consumers via a telephone connection in a telecommunication system, a connection is set up between a consumer's terminal device and an intelligent peripheral, a service is selected in the peripheral by means of the terminal device, an assessment request based on the selected service is sent from the peripheral to a service control point and, based on the assessment requests sent by the peripheral, an event-based bill for the customer is produced.
