Apolipoprotein b mrna-specific ribozyme

The present invention is directed to ribozymes that specifically cleave mRNA for apolipoprotein B. The ribozyme may be used to treat a variety of conditions associated with atherosclerosis, including hypercholesterolemia and hyperlipidemia.
