Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:The invention provides a method for the expression of an enzyme antigen which in nature is parasite gut membrane bound enzyme or a fragment thereof having similar enzyme and/or antigenic activity, wherein mammalian host cells are transfected with a vector adapted to express said enzyme antigen or fragment thereof, characterised in that prior to transformation the host cells are substantially free from endogenous enzymes having (a) the same function and (b) the same cell membrane integration or lack of integration, as said parasite enzyme antigen or fragment thereof. Such a method is particularly useful for the expression of helminthic integral membrane aminopeptidase antigens.
