Electrodes and methods of preparation thereof

Electrode for electrolysis of solns of electrolytes has a support of film forming metal (alloy) with a composite coating of oxides of Ir, Ru, Ti and Ta, where the mol ratio (IrO2 + RuO2):(TiO2 +Ta2O5) = 1-19:3-1; IrO2:RuO2 = 24-4:1; and TiO2:Ta2O5 = 1:0-0.05.
