Zusammenfassung:	A method and system for conducting offshore well operations in support of a compliant platform 10, comprises positioning an offshore drilling vessel 40A over a selected well site, and restraining the offshore drilling vessel with respect to the compliant platform by a mooring system 52 or dynamic thrusters 54. Well operations are conducted from the drilling vessel using a riser 46 extending between the drilling vessel and a well at said well site, and communication between said well and the compliant platform is established through a production ricer 28. After completion of the well operations, the offshore drilling vessel is unrestrained with respect to the compliant platform and is removed.
