Zusammenfassung:	In a hand-operated device for transferring a film (7) from a carrier foil (6) to a substrate (8), a deflectable support foot is provided, which projects from a housing and which is provided at its end with a rigid application strip (4), the carrier foil (6), which emerges from the housing, being guided via this application strip (4) for the pressing of its film side (7) against the substrate (8) and from there back into the housing again. In this connection, at the free end of the rigid application strip (4), an end region (5) projects, which is elastically deflectable in relation to the strip and which forms a pressing edge (9) and consists of neighbouring sections (5.1, 5.2 to 5.7) which are designed to be elastically deflectable, essentially independently of one another, perpendicularly to the longitudinal central plane of the application strip (4) but not flexible in the direction of this longitudinal central plane.
