Zusammenfassung:	An electrocardiographic electrode to be held in close contact with the skin (M) for deriving a weak voltage therefrom comprises a base member (12) provided with a central opening (13), a reinforcement member (14) bonded to the front side (12a) of the base member (12) to close the opening, a contact member (15) penetrating the central portion of the reinforcement member to be coupled to a lead connector (17), and an electrode member (16) secured to the underside of the contact member (15). The base member with the central opening is coated with an adhesive both on the back side (12b) to be held in contact with the skin (M) and on the front (12a) side coupled to the lead connector (17).
