Zusammenfassung:(1) Chimeric gene capable of being expressed in differentiated plant cells comprising (a) DNA fragment comprising a promoter region derived from a gene naturally expressed in a plant cell; and (b) a DNA fragment (s) coding for a polypeptide toxin produced by Bacillus thuringiensis or having sequence homology to it is new. (2) Hybrid plasmid rector comprising (a) a DNA fragment(s) delineating a DNA fragment to be integrated into a plant cell genome; and (b) a chimeric gene(s) as defined above is new. (3) Intermediate plasmid vector contg. a chimeric gene(s) as defined above is new. (4) Plant, plant seed or plant tissue including in its cells genome and expressing a chimeric gene as defined above (the seed or tissue germinating into the plant expressing the gene) is new. (5) Plasmids harboured within cell cultures deposited as DSM 3127-3130 and ATCC 53385-53390 and 53392-53402 are new.
