Zusammenfassung:	A process and device are disclosed for measuring and displaying a travel distance. The device has means for measuring a travel distance, preferably a covered travel distance, and a measurement data display. To allow a travelling person to confortably determine the distance covered without exposing the display to rough operation conditions, the display is designed as a mobile apparatus which a person can take with and the measurement means and mobile apparatus are wirelessly interconnected by an electric sender/receiver.
