Zusammenfassung:An aqueous acidic electrolyte and process for electrodepositing zinc alloys comprising zinc-nickel, zinc-cobalt and zinc-nickel-cobalt on a conductive substrate incorporating a brightener system including a ductilizing agent present in an amount sufficient to reduce stress and fracturing of the zinc alloy electrodeposit providing for improved corrosion resistance of the deposit. The ductilizing agents are sulfonates of an aldehyde or ketone.
