Zusammenfassung:	A light guide (102) is arranged such that it receives light from a cavity (120), and outputs light at a low angle relative to the surface of light modulating layer (107). A polarizer (105) is arranged between a lens (103) and light modulating layer, for diffusely reflecting a specific component of light redirected from the lens. The turning lens is arranged such that it receives low angle light output from light guide and redirects the light towards light modulating layer. The planar surface of the lens faces the polarizer, and its structured surface faces the light guide. An independent claim is also included for lighting system.
