Zusammenfassung:1482011 Hose clip INNOVATION & TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENT CO Ltd 16 Sept 1975 [16 Sept 1974] 40242/74 Heading E2B A hose clip, Fig. 1, is of generally coil spring configuration and has two mutually engageable hooked end-portions 2, 3 each projecting generally outwardly of the coil. The hose clip 1 in its relaxed condition comprises one complete turn and one incomplete turn and can be constructed from steel wire of circular cross-sectional shape. Each hooked end-portion has an arcuate portion and a substantially straight portion, the end portions may be identical and may be inclined at an angle A, Fig. 3, at an angle B, Fig. 4, and at an angle D, Fig. 5. The wire which forms end-portions 23, 24. Fig. 13c, can be rolled back on itself so as to avoid sharp tips. A hose 4, Fig. 2, is clamped on to a metal pipe 5 by a hose clip 1, a tool 6, Fig. 6, being used to engage each hooked end-portion and being rotated in the required direction to bring the hooked end-portions into engagement. An alternative tool is shown in Fig. 8 and a releasing tool is shown in Fig. 10. A collar (not shown) can be positioned between the hose clip and the hose to prevent deformation of the hose during clamping.
