Motor drive for automatic change-over switch with additional manual emergency operation function

The invention relates to a motor drive for an automatic change-over switch that features an additional manual emergency operation function. The inventive drive is provided with a disk with a peripheral cam that engages in a gate plate. Said gate plate is functionally linked with the rotor of the switch via a pin. According to the invention, in the emergency operation mode, a turning handle is introduced into or placed onto the pin to adjust the switch rotor, thereby effecting a relative movement in the axial direction. Said relative movement releases the engagement between the gate plate and the cam. Once the turning handle is removed, said engagement is restored by means of a spring.
