Zusammenfassung:	A floating assembly is provided which includes a generally upright, substantially rigid pole (11) having upper and lower ends. A weight (13) is connected to the lower end of the pole (11). A float (14) surrounding the pole (11) intermediate the ends of the latter is connected to the pole (11) by a universal coupling (16) which permits the float (14) to move with wave action while the pole (11) remains substantially stationary. The upper end of the pole (11) may carry a sunshade (12) or game apparatus (44; 46, 47).
