Methods for removing parasites of vertebrates, and in particular arthropods, mainly insects and Arachnida, wherein an effectively parasiticidal amount of a compound of formula (I) in particular of fipronil, is administered to the animal via an administration route which makes possible systemic distribution and good absorption.
