Zusammenfassung: | A method of froth flotation consists of providing a material in particulate form, producing a pulp of the material in a liquid, and contacting the pulp with gas bubbles rising through the pulp to create a froth phase separated from the pulp by a pulp-froth interface, and increasing the rate of transfer of gas bubbles across the pulp-froth interface into the froth phase. As a result of increased rate of transfer across the interface, the rate of recovery of desirable materials is increased. Typically, the method and apparatus for froth flotation provide acceleration of the gas bubbles rising through the pulp, thereby to increase the rate of transfer of the gas bubbles and attached particles across the pulp-froth interface, resulting in increased recovery rates. |
