Zusammenfassung: | The insert for fitting into a hole preformed in a chipboard panel, has an internally threaded part at one end for a threaded element. The other end has tubular head divided by diametrically opposite longitudinal claws engaging with the workpiece. This insert can accommodate non uniform expansion. The insert is readily aligned and the connection can be made in the required plane relative to the workpiece. The cracking of the workpiece is prevented. The tubular top has outwards projecting longitudinal fingers (16). Between the adjacent longitudinal edges of the fingers is a relatively narrow gap. When the insert is pushed into a hole and the claws are above the workpiece surface, then it is possible to insert a suitable tool between the claws (26). The fingers are spread out in final position. |
