Zusammenfassung:In a Hall effect plasma accelerator (1) the propellant gas is introduced into an annular accelerating channel (2) in the region of an anode (9), asymmetrically around the channel. Ionisation of propellant gas and acceleration of the resultant ions out of the channel causes a deflection or displacement in the resultant thrust direction (F) thereby creating a steering or turning effect.
