Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a method for monitoring the material stream of waste products from a waste generator (2) to a spatially remote waste utilizer (1) in which a machine readable data medium (4) stores data from a data memory (3) of the waste utilizer (1). The data medium (4) is physically connected to a waste receptacle (6) which accommodates the waste material and which is located at the waste generator (2). After transporting the waste receptacle (6) to the waste utilizer (1), the waste receptacle (6) provided with the machine readable data medium (4) is delivered to a reading station (7) which, from the assignment of the data stored on the data medium (4), supplies all data necessary for monitoring the material stream and for documentation to a data stock in a memory station (3).
