Process and apparatus for producing reinforced composite systems

A method and apparatus for producing reinforced composites is provided. The method includes impregnating a compressed reinforcement with a foamable resin under high pressure and then allowing the foam and reinforcement to expand simultaneously under controlled conditions to a lower pressure.
