TRACTION AND BUFFER DEVICE

Draw and buffer gear, in particular for centre buffer couplings of rail vehicles, consists essentially of a spring unit (1) and a connecting device (2) for connecting a coupling shaft (3) of the centre buffer coupling to the spring unit (1). The connecting device (2) has in the region of its end facing the coupling shaft (3) a head part (4) from which a drawing element (5) which lies outside the spring unit (1) extends rearwards. In order to provide the largest possible installation space for the spring unit (1), the connecting device (2) is formed essentially from two separate assemblies which can be joined to one another and together constitute the head part (4) and the drawing element (5); in this arrangement, the drawing element (5) consists of one material with the highest possible tensile strength and has a correspondingly flat, rectangular cross-sectional profile.
