The control assembly comprises a housing including a recessed portion configured to receive at least a portion of a single hand. IT also comprises a handle connected to the housing and a toggle lever configured to control the tubular handling apparatus. The handle and the toggle lever are positioned such that the single hand can grasp the handle and operate the toggle lever.
