Abstract An ablation probe An ablation probe, comprising: an applicator arranged to apply radiation to heat surrounding tissue; and a feeding cable arranged to supply electromagnetic energy to the applicator, wherein: the applicator comprises an applicator body and an antenna conductor, the applicator body comprises an outer surface having a channel in which the antenna conductor is received, the channel being configured to maintain the shape of the antenna conductor, and the channel extends along a helical path around a central axis of the antenna body whereby the antenna conductor follows a corresponding helical path.
